Unable to login with Admin Account after factory reset

Having an issue with my device and went to login, but my password was not working.

 

After a bit of testing, I did a factory reset. Logged in with factory username/password and was prompted to change password. Once finished, attempted to login with new password and was denied. Sent to a page asking me to end in my modem serial number for password recovery. Recovery shows my password as what I typed. Tried to login in immediately with this and again not able to. Fought with it a bit more before I decided I might be fat fingering the password.

 

Factory reset the modem again and changed password to "password". Tried to login immediately and again I cannot. Brought to same page as before requesting my modem serial number for password recovery. Recovery page shows the password is still very much listed as "password".

 

Still cannot login using the factory username/password. If I reset it, I can gain access to change password, but it never excepts any passwords. Does the admin username change? Recovery page still shows it as "admin".

 

Please assist.

  • Whelp, checked again with a different browser. It appears Netgear Genie just does not like Firefox or my add-ons.
