Having issues with my internet & my cable/internet company says my modem/router C7000v2 needs updated to one that has at least 3.1---suggestions for replacement or is there an update available
DOCSIS 3.0 is mostly outdated. D3.1 has been out for a while and is most current. You might ask the ISP which 3.1 modems they support that you can buy. NGs C7800 is last 3.1 supporting gateway modem. CM series 1000 and up are all 3.1 supporting modem only units.
The ISP is responsible for updates on these kind of devices. The user can't do it.
