I'd contact Filezilla to be sure that your configuring there application correctly.
Can you access the CAX via FTP in a command line box?

What do you mean by your in a different city? Are you away from the CAX30 thats at home?
Are you behind a different modem/router in a different city?

I dont know what it was but I reset the password and I was able to get in, maybe it doesn't like $ signs

ultimately though the router is still not doing what I need it to do, when uploading large files the connection times out, I can only get about 5mb/second and upload 1 gigabyte. I tried multiple clients.
