Upstream light blinking

Can anyone shed some light on this issue that I am experiencing please,its become quite frustrating. Help please!!!!!!!!

    What color is it? 

    here's from the manual: 

    • Solid amber. One upstream channel is locked.
    • Blinking amber. The cable modem is scanning for an upstream channel.
    • Solid green. More than one upstream channel is locked.
    • Off. No upstream channel is locked.

     

    do you have a screen snip of your cable connections page and logs? 

    also, if you have any splitters, amplifiers, or attenuators in line, I'd remove them.
