Upstream Light on CM2000 Blinks Constantly

Just to let everyone know Xfinity tech came to house today and determined that the outside cable (been in the ground for 18 years) was damaged and replaced the cable. This resolved the issue as internet now works properly.

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
What is the brand and model of the host wifi router connected to the modem

WiFi router is Netgear Nighthawk X6S AC4000 TriBand Router. No other changes were made. All I did was unhook the old modem and attached the coax and plugged it back in then went through the Xfinity app to setup. As an experiment I reinstalled the old CM1000 and it worked fine.
