USB Control Center - printer not showing up N600 C3700

Does anyone know how to get my router to see my printer? I called support and was told I had to pay a 3rd party to access my computer remotely and I find that frustrating because I'm within the 90 day "free" support.

How do I get the USB controller to see my printer? How do I let it "see" the printer driver?

Would really appreciate some help. Thanks.

  • same issue on a N900.
Not verified - but I think the netgear USB control center MUST be running to have any hope of seeing a printer.

The whole idea of sharing a printer with the router was one of the reasons I got this one. Just installed yesterday and it has been a problem printing ever since. It seems the usb control center must be actively running on every computer wanting to print. This is quite cumbersome to set up - get software loaded, printer configured/found (if possible), train users, etc etc. No thanks, Netgear.http://forum1.netgear.com/images/smilies/mad.gif

so, fallback to old method: fixed IP address for the print server. Forget the router. works fine.http://forum1.netgear.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
