usbport access DOCSIS 3.0

I am (trying) to set up a NAIM music WIFI through my WIFI network. Initially my computer could see the Seagate storage hard drive on the modem USB port, but the NAIM boxes could not. It was suggested it was an access permission issue and I foolishly changed some settings on my (Windows 10) computer (the problem was actually formatting and has been resolved). Now the computer can see the NAIM boxes but the computer cannot access the Seagate storage hard drive (now formatted to FAT32) - it does not appear at all on the files list : something called home group does that was not there before. 

I assume this is something to do with the network and sharing centre>advanced sharing options.

Any suggestions?]
