Use AC1900 C7000 as a Wireless Access Point

The C7000 lacks an Ethernet WAN port, so it cannot be used as a wireless router.  I have a weak wireless coverage in my basement (AT&T Uverse Internet).

How can I use the C7000 as a Wi-Fi Access Point behind my AT&T Arris Internet WiFI gateway?

I connected one of my C7000 Ethernet Ports to an Ethernet Port on the Arris Gateway (using normal Ethernet cable as well as a crossover or patch cable), but the C7000 is stuck with the LED Downstream light flashing. Wireless indicator never even comes up!

Please help.

You might try the procedure at:

          https://community.netgear.com/t5/x/x/m-p/1463500

That's written for a C6300-as-WAP, but the steps are about the same for
any other router (any make/model) which lacks a one-step WAP option.

Have you pointed a wem browser at its management web site to see what
    it's doing?
