Using IVPN on Netgear Nighthawk CAX30S AX2700

I misunderstood what the Advanced => Advanced Setup => VPN Service was going to do.  I didn't read the help text.  Sorry.

 

I have purched an account at IVPN and I want to get the router to use the VPN instead of all of the devices behind the router -- that would be my preference (I think -- there are pros and cons both ways).  Is it possible to do this with this router?

    I'd contact the mfr of IVPN to see how there services are configured on any router. They should know if there product works on NG modems and routers.

      They have a list of protocols:

      DD-WRT
      DD-WRT OpenVPN auto
      DD-WRT OpenVPN manual
      DD-WRT WireGuard
      OpenWrt OpenVPN
      OpenWrt WireGuard
      pfSense OpenVPN
      pfSense WireGuard
      Tomato OpenVPN
      Asuswrt-Merlin
      OPNsense OpenVPN
      OPNsense WireGuard

       

      They have one specific modem that they recommend that comes ready made for IVPN.  I went to the DD-WRT and OpenWrt pages and they have specific modems but Netgear cable modems were not on anyone's list.  I didn't check all of them.

       

      I'm also asking on other forums if any modem anywhere can do Spectrum as well as IVPN.

       

      We'll see how it goes.

        Probably not supported on this NG modem.

    the CAX30 doesn't support 3rd party firmwares so you wouldn't be able to install IVPN to it.
