Using modem CM1000 with firmware V6.01.02 and Cox ISP?
I currently have a CM1000 and firmware V6.01.02 was deployed upon activation with my ISP, Comcast. I want to upgrade to a better modem and give my current CM1000 to a family member but they have Cox ...
Cox may download there FW to the CM modem for use on there system. Each ISP does there own testing and some FW development before pushing out to modems. So ISP FW versions maybe different. Some ISP won't update user owned modems. You'll have to get with COX and have them activate the modem and go from there.
