Using Netgear N600 with Viasat Internet
I am using Viasat as my internet provider. My modem provided by them is dead. So therefore I can't log into the IP to disable the modem. I purchased a Netgear n900 this evening and obviously can't connect it with the Viasat modem since that modem is dead, right? (( While I am computer savvy, I am not a techy when it comes to connection )) I disconnected the Viasat equipment, connected the netgear and still can't connect. HELP!

Is that accurate? (Not "a Netgear n900"?) Note that neither "N600"
nor "n900" is a model number. Look at the product label.> [...] My modem provided by them is dead. [...]
Are you offering any clues as to what this "My modem provided by
them" is (other than "dead")? Has it a maker and model number?> [...] I disconnected the Viasat equipment, [...]
What, exactly, was connected to what, exactly?
> [...] connected the netgear [...]
What, exactly, did you connect to what, exactly?

I would ask your ISP to see what modems are supported on there system. Some SAT ISP have and use specific modems for there system and services.
