Using TFTP To Update Firmware For CAX30
I am trying to update firmware for a Nighthawk CAX30 which stopped accessing the internet 3 days ago. I read the instructions for updating the firmware by using TFTP from the command prompt. What is ...
Something I do on same wired PC, open up a command dos box and run a constant ping to the IP address your going to be sending too. The ping will report no response to start, keep waiting and watch for when the no response changes to getting a response, that's when you'll know the TFTP port is open and should accept the FW file at this point.
If you use the NMRPFlash program, this will do all this for you.
