Virgin media super hub/xbox one ip camera

I new to this what i need to know is this i have a Virgin media super modem and i have only one cable going to another room i use it for my Xbox one and have to unplug it to use my ip camera when iam not in. so i just bought a GS105UK PROSAFE 5PORT  THINKING I COULD USE MY ONE AND ONLY INTERNET CABLE AND PLUG IN BOTH MY ITEMS WILL THIS RUN OK

    That setup should work, but I don’t understand what you mean when you say you plan to use one cable to ‘plug in both my items’?

      Thanks i did the job last night and it is 100% working the cable i was on about is the ethernet cable from the modem to the room where all items are
