What are the differences Between the R6250 and the C6250 Cable / Modem / Routers? I'm shopping for a New Cable Modem so as to circumnavigate TWC's Monthly Cable Modem Fees. I have one picked out but ...

I also own one C6250.

Do you think is possible to transform C6250 into a R6250? Or at least to us it as a wifi repeater?

R6250 is a router, no modem.

 

Some modems can work as "modem only". But even you can do it with the C6250 it has only two LAN ports on the back.

 

What is it that you want to achieve?

    I want to put my C6250 as a wifi transmitter, connected with cable at my fiberlink ONT modem which has really bad wifi.

      Hello adriahno

       

      The 6250 does not have a wan port so you can not use this as only a router.
