I use it for my PS4 the cable is 15m long for both, I’ve researched that cable length doesn’t matter to around 100m, the indicator on my router is showing orange when it should show white? The firmware update it at its newest update.

True.

Are you asking or telling? If your (unspecified) "my PS4" has a
gigabit Ethernet interface, and it's not in some power-off/standby mode,
then, using a good cable, the R7000 LAN Ethernet port-status LED should
be white.
What do you get if you connect that cable from one R7000 LAN Ethernet
port to another one? Both port-status LEDs be white. If that works as
expected, then there would seem to be a problem with your (unspecified)
"my PS4", not the cable, not the R7000.

As always, an actual version number would be more useful than your
opinion of what's "newest" today.
I know nothing, but many users report here that the recent ".60" and
".64" versions have more problems than the earlier ".42" version. You
might try that older version.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads. (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".) Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want. Read the "Release Notes" file for
instructions.
