Which mesh setup
I've been using the Netgear C7800 modem/router combo for over 3 years it has worked great but there are a few slow spots throughout my house which is less than 2000 sq. ft. I want to upgrade to Wi-Fi...
The C7800 has a modem only mode. That way you could use it as a stand alone modem.
Or you could leave it in router mode and put the mesh system in access point mode (prevents a double nat). This would give you a backup wireless or even just a wireless to offload devices close to it on. You'd want to make sure to seperate out the wireless channels to prevent interference.
Then you could use the orbi/mk system for coverage further out.
