Even with LAG enabled on the 1200, you'll be limited by the 1000Mbps WAN ports on the modem to your router which also has 1000mbps LAN ports and thus anything wired behind the router.
Depending on ISP, you'll need to ask the ISP if theu support more than 1 IP address to the 1200 modem. Some may not or if they do, may incur additional cost. And you need a router that can do LAG on the WAN side and well. Like Orbi RBK850 series or R7960P does. I think other models like RAX may have some support.
The CM2000 just has the 1 2.5Gb WAN port so again, if you get 1Gb, you'll be limited by anything connected at 1000Mb on the WAN to LAN side unless you find a router that supports 2.5Gb on its WAN, like Orbi RBK850 series does is on. I think other models like RAX may have some support.
I would talk to the ISP first to see what they support and can offer to you before you buy something. Be aware that some ISPs will not update FW on user owned modems. I believe CC does update FW though.
