Why is the upstream light permenantly amber? And how do I get it to be green?

I just intalled a AC1750, C6300 modem router. It is working fine and I am getting a faster download speed on my iPhone than ever before.

But the Upstream indicator light is stuck on Amber. Is this a problem? And what do I need to do (if anything) to make it green?

TIA

    Hello gwpriester

I would not say its normal it could be some type of connection issues so I would have your ISP check it out.

    Hello gwpriester

It means only 1 upstream channel is locked its nothing that is wrong but I would check with your ISP if only 1 is suppose to be locked or more than 1 you may have to ask for higher up support to look into this.

Thanks, About three or four days after I posted this, the amber light went green.

I am also having a problem of occassionally dropped connections. I have had this modem/router for about three weeks and during this time I have had about 4 dropped connections. Is this normal? I did not have this with my previous Surfboard 6850 modem/router.
