WiFi Cable Modem Router(C7000)

Hello, we just bought & set-up a Nighthawk - AC1900 WiFi Cable Modem Router(C7000).

 

We use Xfinity & didn't change service or anything, but now, everytime I walk away from the computer for more than 3 minutes, the Wifi reverts back to an xfinitywifi in the area.  This didn't happen previously.

 

I'm wondering is there a setting I'm missing to force it to stay on the Netgear05-5G?

    Have you wifi profile on the PC forget the xfinity wifi configuration. 

     

    I would change the SSID name on the C7000 to something more unique and custom. Using default SSID names long term isn't recommended.
