will not boot up completely for first time set up
Hello, I just purchased this new router for my upgraded internet. I tried to set it up through the quick start guide. Once I plugged it up all of the lights came on except for the upstream and internet lights, with the downstream light flashing. I waited a few hours then tried the reboot it several times and also triple checked the cable, but it still remains the same. My isp is through my apartment complex, so I registered it though them also. Is something else that can or should be done?
Thank you!
Thank you!

many apartments that supply internet service either contract with an isp for a discount or pay for it themselve and have their own routing setup built in.
The goal is to determine what you have.
If yours contracts with an isp like cox/comcast, then you need to call them to activate your modem.
if yours pays for their own and supply the residence, then its usually just a router you need and not a modem/router combo device.
So which do you have?
