Wireless on my c7100v is dying

I'm trying to do the same thing as the wireless on my c7100v is dying.&nbsp; I've turned off the wireless as per the instructions for the c7100 and connected an old r6300v2 but it is not seeing the connection between the devices.&nbsp; There must be some setting in the r6300 that I need to setup to get it to work but I can't figure it out.&nbsp; There is an option to use the 6300 as an access point and you can set an IP address but it "does not recommend".&nbsp; Please help as right now my wireless speeds are next to worthless and I don't want to buy a new modem yet.

turning off the wireless doesn't disable the routing.&nbsp;
I'd go in and put the c7100v in modem only mode.&nbsp;
(I'd probably look at a router upgrade to as the R6300v2 is pretty old)
