My patience ended.... I purchased the exact same netgear product this weekend after losing hours trying to fix the old one.... along with not having access to some of my devices. I wanted installation simplicity (the old one worked great when it worked) so I elected to get the same model.
I installed the new product and everything is working great! The old modem/router was defective, although told otherwise by Netgear support. I boxed up the old one and sent it back. Disappointing experience. Glad to have all my devices working again.

I spoke with support and their help was embarassingly inept. They told me the router was working fine via a diagnostic they completed using my serial number.... although the 2.4 GHZ light is off. Turned over remote access to my computer and the technician was doing all the things I have already done.... reinstall the adapter... reset router to factory settings... thereafter randomly clicking and guessing. They wanted $139 on my credit card before it was fixed. After 40 minutes and no progress, I hung up.
Netgear should be ashamed of the level of support I received. I will hang on until the weekend seeking solutions.... If no progress, I will replace the unit.

Hello eyespy
Have you checked with your ISP to make sure the wireless is not disabled I know in some cable company billing system if they do not have the codes to enable your wireless it will not work.
