Xbox One disconnecting while off

Hey everybody!

I’ve got an issue, hopefully a simple one, with my Xbox One’s connection to WiFi while its off and when I turn it back on. I have Instant On mode turned on so that I’d hopefully be able to automatically download new purchases and updates while I’m away, but I’ve noticed that it hasn’t seemed to be working and even when I turn it back on it has trouble connecting automatically and usually ends up taking a full reboot after turning it on to restore my connection, even though my network settings indicate that I’m connected the entire time.

Is there a setting on my router that could cause/fix this? Talking to Xbox support got me nowhere and I saw a post from February by someone having the same issue while connecting via Ethernet to his router but he never found a solution as far as I can tell and I’m connecting via WiFi.
