Xfinity download speed compatibility with Netgear modem CM2050V
Hi Everyone - My Xfinity download speed was increased from 1000 to 1200mbps, but I'm not realizing the gain. Is there a Netgear CM2050V modem setting change required, or firmware upgrade I need...

My DT is 5 yrs old and has the following ethernet network card installed, and you're correct, rated at 1gbps!
"killer e2400 gigabit"
So, yes, this is my bottleneck.
Can a firmware patch be applied to support faster downloads, or should I replace the ethernet control card?

No, it is the hardware that cannot handle the higher throughput. Check to see if your Ethernet port is part of your motherboard, many are, or if it is a separate card. If it is a separate card, a replacement with 2.5 Gbps port is readily available. If part of the motherboard, there may be a way to disable it and then use a newly installed card. The computer OEM would be a source for information along that line.

I believe it's a separate card, but i'll confirm.
