Xfinity gigabit issues CM1000/RM6900

Disconnect the R series router and connect a wired PC to the back of the CM modem. Power off the modem for 30 seconds then back on. Speed test with Ooklas speed test app for Windows or Apple. See if your speeds are good here or not.
- I've tried this a few times already. I get the same speeds roughly by plugging into the modem directly. That's why I'm pretty sure it's not my router.
Make sure there are no coax cable line splitters between the ISP service box and the modem.
Swap LAN cables when testing directly to the modem.
Return the modem for another to see if problem continues.
- I removed the splitter that was coming from the ground cable and connecting my 3 lines together and used an rg6 connector to do this. I figured out my cable is rg6 grade and is tri-shield. I'm not sure if this is gigabit ready. Im not sure where the actual main box is for the condo association but I can't see any other splitters near the wire coming through my basement wall.
Any other suggestions?
