Xfinity Modem Question

Hello,

I recently purchased the modem that advertises it can act as replacement to an Xfinity modem. My question is that if my family were to switch our cable provider (to say hypothetically AT&T) would the modem still work?

Thanks!

       Is _that_ your "the modem"?

It might, if your hypothetical AT&T service were the cable-TV type.
If it were some kind of DSL, then you'd need some kind of DSL modem
    (which a CM1150V is not).

ATT doesn't have cable ISP services, they are mostly DSL and Fiber. The CM1150v is a cable modem only. Can only be used on cable modem ISPs.
