Xfinity Says I Need To Replace My CM3000
Hello, A couple of days ago I had a technical support call with Xfinity regarding a streaming issue. During the call, they checked modem status and claimed that the modem was generating errors. T...

Not yet. I have a new Xfinity gateway as well as a new CM3000. The current modem is a CM2000, not a 3000 (my mistake). I ordered a 3000 so I could get the latest/best tech in the design. I can log in to the CM2000 and see error messages in the log. When I call Xfinity to have them run a modem check I am told that no errors are showing in a remote diagnostic and a site visit is recommended. As mentioned above, I have had a site visit and the tech claims no issues on the line in.
What I would like to do is find a way to trigger and observe a remote modem analysis, so I can see what the current CM2000 is being subjected to, then swap in the Xfinity Gateway and trigger the same, then possibly also swap in the CM3000 and trigger again the remote analysis. That way I can test all three environments. So far, I have been unable to find a way to consistently and interactively trigger a modem test.
Anyone know how to do so?

What are the error messaged seen in on the CM2000?
And last post you did with cable connections, saw lots of correctables and uncorrectables that should be mostly zeros.
Any Criticals, Errors or Warnings seen in the event logs needs to be reviewed and resolved by the ISP. Indicates a signal issue on the ISP line up to the modem.
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Start with removing any amplifiers, signal attenuators, or splitters from the coax.
From there check the line for kinks, damage, moisture in the line.
Check the connectors for improperly made ends, foil touching the copper coax line, loose connections, bad/old/cheap connectors, or corroded connections. Replace them if you do.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON.
