Genie unable to login to WNDR4300 after firmware update V1.0.2.104

Hello,

 

I have recently updated my Netgear WNDR4300 to firmware V1.0.2.104 and now the Genie IOS app will not login. It fails with Login Failed. I am using the correct login/password combo that I have set up on the router after a factory reset.  I have performed the following steps after first discovering this issue:

 

Deleted app from phone and reinstalling

Rebooted router

Restored router to factory settings

Set up router again from scratch by hand, including changing the default password first
Rebooted phone

I see other folks also having this problem in the forums.  Wasn't sure if I should piggyback on someone else's thread or post my own.

I can login to the router fine from any computer browser inside my network. The problem shows up solely with the Genie app

 

IOS 11.4
Genie app v. 3.1.64

  • The Genie app is now able to login to my WNDR4300 again.  I can see all of my network devices on it also.

    The WNDR4300 is still on firmware V1.0.2.104
    The Genie iOS app is now on 3.1.74
    I can only assume it is due to an app update
    I'll mark this thread solved.
