Adding NAS drives to Network

I have a new installation of a BT router downstairs - the only BT socket available. My home office is upstairs. In the office is a NAS drive. I also have 2 x Netgear powerline 200 mini adapters. Can I use these to connect the NAS drive to the router?

I'm asking, because I have already tried and nothing seems to be happening. The NAS drives are not showing on the BT router connected appliances section.

So I am wondering if a NAS drive can be seperate from the router. Can anyone help please?

The router is plugged into one of the powerline adaptors?

The NAS is plugged into another one?

How do you connect the office to the modem?

In other words, whats the network map?
