After 18 months, Powerline AV 200 adapter doesn’t light ethernet LED

Suddenly, after working well for a year-and-a-half, the adaptor at the computer end no longer lights the ethernet LED. The Power and Powerline LEDs are both green. On the adapter connected to the router, they’re all green.

I’ve done a factory reset on both adaptors.

I’ve unplugged them both and plugged them back in.

I’ve plugged the computer's adaptor into a socket in the same room as the router's, just six feet away, and it didn't help.

What else can I do?

Thanks,
Russell

  • No connection, so had to run that Mac via wireless. And yesterday it spontaneously started working again. Maybe some kind of temporary line interference? Thanks for responding.

  • Does the adapter still provide a connection?  If so it may just simply be that the LED has burnt out (however unlikely after a year and a half)
