Apartment setup in Eindhoven

Hello everyone, I currently live in Eindhoven and I am considering purchasing two Netgear Powerline, as the connection via Wi-Fi is very unstable.

In particular I live in a building which has a basement, a ground floor (with 2 small apartments, including my own), and a first floor with 3-4 rooms.

Let me explain briefly the setup.
In the basement there is the Modem / Router Cisco EPC 3925 http://i.imgur.com/2iuN2K4.jpg and some counters (zoom: http://i.imgur.com/IxpBRpB.jpg - http://i.imgur.com/vbNHw5q.jpg).
On the ground floor, inside of my apartment, I have this counter: http://i.imgur.com/yRQoWLR.jpg

I would connect the first Powerline directly to the Modem in the basement (through Ethernet), and in particular to the same outlet of the modem. The second Powerline (obviously) would be connected into a socket inside my apartment.

Since I do not know any of this, do you think this setup can work or are there some impediments?

Thank you,
Pierpaolo

  • The key to make a powerline work is to make sure that both powerlines will be on the same circuit breaker.
