AV 500 asking for Password after factor reset. Password on Reuter does not work.

I am NOT tech savy at all . I actually dont even know what this thing really does.

For two years I have been using my wifi extender in my room and it has never asked me for a password ever! and now it is asking me for a password. I have entered my regular wifi password on our separate wifi and I have entered the pass phrase and any other number on the back of our reuter. I have hit the factory reset button and it still asks for a password. I have tried everything and am paying through the butt in mobile data roaming to be on my phone in my room. someone please help. How do I find out what this password is and how can i fix it. Please write in a way I will understand.

Where is the XAV5201 involved in this?  Is that what doubles as the wifi access point?

What is asking for a password? Wifi clients?

There is a manual for the device somewhere at the end of this link:

    >>>> XWNB5201 | Product | Support | NETGEAR <<<<

    See page 14.

The default wireless network name (SSID) of the XWN5001 is NETGEAR_EXT.

The default network key (wireless security password) is printed on the back of the XWN5001.
