Provided I can configure it, this setup should work with the XVN unit getting signal from the plug outlet then transmitting WifI? It doesn't have to be in wifi range of my ATT2wire in the front of the house, correct?
Yes thats right the Wi-fi extender is getting its internet connection through the powerline adapters, and then broadcasting its own Wi-Fi signal. So as long as the two adapters connect it doesn't matter how far they are away from each other. You can therefore use your router to provide a Wi-Fi connection at one end of the house and the extender at the other (depending on how big your house is, obviously!)
