Hi, I have virgin media branded netgear power line that are the plugin ethernet cable type (1000?) One is plugged into my virgin router at the front of the house and the other was in my kitchen and then plugged into a Tenda wifi router. I have built a garden office and moved the power line and Tenda router in there, however, whilst working, the speed is much slower than it was in the kitchen. Red light - 1mbps. Distance from the Virgin router I'm guessing being the problem. Is it possible to buy another power line adapter that works with what I have and provides wifi for the kitchen and if so would it effect the speed of the router now in the garden office? Would it slow the garden office internet or speed it up (boost it along the power lines?!?!?). Thanks in advance.327Views0likes1CommentError login into www.mywifiext.com.
Hi, I have a PowerLINE 1000 + WiFi (PLW1000). I changed the password of my Access Point (128 characters long), with the possibility of recovering the password, by answering the two security questions. I didn't change username, so it remained the same, i.e. 'admin'. During the first login after the password change, an error similar to: 'Content Error text/html ... PWD:/usr/www' popped up. I have looked references in my pc, not finding anything about folders or files. Can anyone help me? Thanks a lot!Solved2.2KViews0likes6CommentsCompatibility between PLW1000v2 and XAV5501
Hi, is it possible to connect to the Powerline AV+ 500 client adapters (XAV5001) to the PL1000 which is connected to my router? The PLW1000v2 kit was added to my network to create a Wlan access point in our cellar where my normal Wlan signal is not available. I am not sure if both systems are compatible. I was not able to get this configuration working. Rgds ClaudiaSolved2.4KViews0likes7CommentsPowerline Extender input source
Hello! I have AT&T DSL and yesterday it went down. The technician wanted to run new wiring, but couldn't get it to the computer room, so he installed a new modem/router on the kitchen counter, modifying an old phone jack into an ethernet port. So I have a modem/wifi unit and cables on the kitchen counter where we cook . . not acceptable. I need to get an internet connection back into the computer room and move the router back in there where it belongs. If I buy a Powerline PLW1000 or similar, can I connect the ethernet port directly to the Powerline adaptor, then jump it to the other room? Or does the input for that adaptor have to come out of a router? Thanks!822Views0likes3CommentsPl1000v2 keeps shutting off my wifi
Hello! So I just got the pl1000v2 and everytime I set it up, it ends up turning off the wifi in my house. I'll get the wifi but it will say no connection, for every device in the house. When I unplug it, the wifi comes back. I've tried factory resetting and trying different outlets to no avail. One thing I should mention is that my room mate upstairs uses this and he's had no problems. Could that be effecting mine? We both use the same router. Any help would be greatly appreciated.581Views0likes1CommentPWL1010 Connection but no internet
Just got this product this week: Two questions: 1. No lights appear on the base unit(the one that is wired to the router) but it seems to connect(?). 2. When I move the remote wireless unit to my detached garage it appears to connect but there is no internet connection. Using my iPhone, it shows the WiFi icon with an exclamation mark in the middle. All electrical circuits are through a single breaker box in the house. Any suggestions are appreciated. Bill1.2KViews0likes5CommentsTwo networks both using PLW1010 V2 for the headend - problems?
I have two completely different networks headended by two routers connected to a single Arris cable modem for our two building residential property. One network already has a PLW1010-100NAS with two remote wireless adapters. I now want to add another PLW1010 headend with a single wireless remote to provide both a wired ethernet connection for a small switch and better wireless connectivity. Just as with the already installed network I'll use the same network SSID to facilitate device roaming. What problems if any can I anticipate?679Views0likes2CommentsPowerline PL 1200 and PLP 1200 - can they be used together
I have the Powerline Model PL 1200 connected to my (serivce provider installed) Comtrend Model AR-5319 and it is working well. I want to add 2 more adapters for other TVs. Since we live in a forest with "not great" internet coverage, I'd like to add the PLP 1200 adaptors to try to get the most out or our connection. Will the PL and PLP devices work together - my PL 1200 instructions are from Oct 2015-doesn't say what generation it is? Also, since there are no "additional adapters" for sale, I assume the Set of adapters sold, can each either be used as the main (connected to the internet service box) OR the receiving (connected to the TV/item) device. Is that correct?1.1KViews0likes2CommentsPick a Plug LED losing connection
Just purchased a set of the powerline 2000 to improve 2nd floor internet. Followed directions for installation. The Power and Powerline LED come on solid green initially when plugging in. After 2-3 minutes the Powerling LED goes off and does not come back on. It does does turn red or amber, just goes from solid green to off. Verified that both electrical outlets are on the same leg. Also tried in different plugs in the house even in the same room. Always the same thing, Powerline LED comes on and stays on for 2-3 minutes then goes off. Tried doing the security reset as well but no result. Powerline LED stays off.1.6KViews0likes5Comments
