Compatibility PowerLINE 500, 1 Port Adapter(XAV5421)

Hi,
Had a query re an old product that i have, the PowerLINE 500, 1 Port Adapter(XAV5421), is this compatible with the NETGEAR PLP1000-100UKS 1 Port, 1000 Mbps, 1 Gigabit Port Powerline Adapter ?

Also would I be able to use the TP link av600 powerline adaptor too with these ?

I look forward to your response.

Also an FYI - your over the phone customer service is really bad, they have just hung up the phone on me.

    A couple things.

    1. yes you can use the XAV5421 with the PLP1000. But it'll function at the slowest devices speeds. So the PLP1000 will only function at the speed of the xav5421

    2. You'd have to check the standards on the tplink device. Powerline devices use the homeplug standards. If a device is homeplug certified, it'll work (there's different versions). you can view the standards here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HomePlug

    3. Customer service is only free for the first 90 days of purchase. After that it costs $. Or you can use the community forum (this one). Keep in mind, we're not netgear. We're just people from the public helping out. so you can complain about netgear all you want but whatever happened with customer service, it wasn't us.

      Ok thanks for confirming.

Just to clarify, By speeds do you mean the Mbps ?

        correct. The mbps rating.

(keep in mind, powerline ratings are even more inflated the wifi ratings)
