Double NAT Issue on xbox one with powerline adapters

I Have set up powerline adapters so i can play with a wired connection on my xbox one because the router modem set up is across the house. I did the security setup between the two adapters and they are showing solid green and appear to be working, however on my xbox network settings it gives my a double nat detected warning, therefore i cannot play online. How do i fix this? Is it something i need to get in my modem settings for?

What happens if you plug the XBox into the router?

Did you search here for Xbox and double NAT?

I have tried searching but found nothing pertaining to my power line adapter setup. And I can’t plug it straight into the router because the router is across the house, hence the power line adapters

Isn't the Xbox portable? I was thinking of a simple one-off test to see if the Xbox will work outside the powerline network. This would pin down the source of the problem as Case850 suggests.

If the Xbox works on the router, then you need to "think powerline" for troubleshooting. If it does not work there, then the Powerline network is not the issue and no amount of messing around with powerline settings will connect you.
