DST6501 is always red and I can't get any help.

I am sitting 10 feet from my DST6501 and about 40 feet from my AC1900.  My speed from the AC1900 is about 260 Mbps and the speed from the DST6501 is about 6 Mbps.

The DST is actually between me and the AC.  I have called support four times since last night trying to get someone who can help and I have been told:

1. We will have someone call back in an hour- still waiting for the call from over 12 hours ago.

2. Called back in and explained situation again, got transferred to Geek Sqaud.

3. Called back in and was told I had to be transferred to the "concern" department- sat on hold for 10 minutes and the call dropped.

4. Called back in again and explained everything again, was told it was out of the expertise and somebody would call me back in 24-48 hours.  There was no manager or supervisor I could talk with, no other solution available.  

 

Does anybody know why my DST would be performing so poorly?  Or a better number to call to get this fixed.  The units are a month old today.

    Maybe they have covered the same ground. 

     

    Which light is "always red". DST?

     

    Have you tried with the DST device near to the router? It may be that your mains circuit is dodgy. On which, avoid mains extension blocks with surge suppression built in.
