Failing PL1000 takes down wired network
I have a powerline network with a PL1000 connected to my router and several PL1000 extenders connected to TVs in other rooms.
When one of the PL1000 extenders is failing (no connectivity) it appears to take all the wired connections down with it. Any PCS connected to the router loose internet access. I can run the the windows network trouble shooter and get the message"Cannot reach the default gateway" and Fixed! That works great for a while but then before long I loose connectivity again. This problem only affects wired connections that is those using an ethernet cable connected to the router, through a switch, or via a powerline connections. Wireless connections to the router are fine.
Only when I remove the problematic extender from the network is the problem resolved.
I have tried a factory reset and resetting the security key to no avail. This has happend to me twice now with two different extenders, one a v2. On both there is only a the power LED on. Is there anything that can be done with these extenders?
