Having 3 powerline adapters connected

hey,

so i have been using 2 Powerline 2000 adapters for years without issue and have decided to add 1 more so i bought another set but as mentioned only need to add 1 at the moment. I've tried doing it by holding down the button on a existing one and then the new one. I've tried starting from the new then to the existing, i've tried pressing on all 3. no matter what combination i use i can't get all 3 to work together only 2 at a time. I'm trying to connect my tv and xbox with ethernet by way of the adapters obviously but both won't connect.

any suggestions? have i overlooked something?

thank you

    Is this what you did?

    >>> Adding a powerline adapter to an existing powerline network <<<

You need just one plug wired into the router.

I find it easier to set up plugs alongside one another where it is easy to check that they are connecting, and then to move them to their final destination. They will remember their settings even when unplugged and moved.
