The Netgear equipment is now packaged up ready for the courier to collect it as I have spent long enough trying to set the equipment up which is completely wasted time.
I am disappointed by the Netgear website for support as when you follow the instructions in the manual and log in, all I see is complaints and comments and not solutions. The website is in my opinion, very poorly laid out and managed.
As a solution I have just ordered Devolo units which have been highly recommended and will be with me in a few hours and my Netgear headache will be solved.

I apologize for incovinience in installing the unit. Powerline utilities are just optional software and are not needed when installing the powerline adapters. For now, Powerline utility is not available for MAC users.
