Issue with plp2000 and pl1000 no IP address
Hello,
I was previously using a pair of pl1000 adapters to run internet upstairs in a duplex apartment with no issues for more than a year.
I needed to add another powerline connection downstairs for work from home thin client that did not support wifi. So I bought the plp2000 and connected those two units to the router receiving internet (same plug that previously had a pl1000) and the work from home station both on the main floor.
I connected my old upstairs pl1000 with the new plp2000 units and got 3 green lights just like before, same outlet upstairs. Nothing else changed about the upstairs configuration. It is connected to a 4 port Ethernet switch with a laptop, PS4, xb1, and fpga device connected.
However, since using the plp2000 units downstairs (which work fine and have no issue) the upstairs detects that it is on a network, but the laptop gives an error:
IP address not found
"ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED"
and the PS4 also errors out saying no IP address.
I don't understand what the problem would be since I'm using the same setup and plugs I've used for years, but instead of one pl1000 downstairs at the modem/router and one upstairs at the laptop/PS4, I have two plp2000 downstairs and the same one pl1000 upstairs.

You should have just one plug connected to the router. The add the extra plugs in the usual way.

You might want to reset the older plugs before you add them to the new plugs.
And get them working as required near to the new plugs before moving them to their intended locations. They will remember their links to the new plugs.

I'd look to the laptop and the PS4 for network problems.
