Laptop can't connect to Powerline
Hi I have been using Powerline for years to extend the wifi reach in our house. Powerline is working but I can no longer connect my laptop. I think the IP address is wrong (169.... rather than 192.....

Many thanks for your quick response.
It's connected using wifi.
The Powerline connection seems strong (green lights). I've moved the adapters to the same wall right next to the router and I still can't connect to Powerline. My laptop shows Powerline with full strength but can't connect to it - neither can my phone.
Sorry I'm not technical and didn't understand your point 4!
Thanks for your help

I didn't see your answer to question 3.
Regarding point 4, do you know if your router has the ability to allow only specific devices to connect to the network?

The PLC and Lan lights are off and the WLAN light is green.
I'm not aware that the router has the ability to only allow specific devices to connect

Sorry, it's not clear if you answered my question. Let me rephrase it.
You have two Powerline adapters. One should be connected to your router. The other one is connected elsewhere in your house and provides a Wi-Fi signal. Here is a picture:
Internet-----Modem-----Ethernet-----Router------Ethernet-----Powerline adapter 1-----AC-----Powerline adapter 2-----))) laptop
My question is in regards to the Ethernet connection between the Router and Powerline adapter 1. When the connection is working, you should see a link light on the router and you should also see a link light on Powerline adapter 1. My question is, do you see both lights?
