No matter, the answer is the same. There is nothing you can do to a Powerline plug that affects it security. It is essentially a dumb wired connection. The router does all the security stuff.

See above. The plug has no IP address.
Netgear also does not have a utility either any more.
The management utilities for other brands will work on Netgear plugs.
