Netgear Powerline 500 XWNB5201
I purchased this product to use with my UPC Horizon box.
I am upstairs and I can not get the benefit of 240mbps without using ethernet and sitting infront of my TV.
However, this product only gives me 40 mbps using ethernet :(
How can I get the full speed as it says it supports up to 500 mbps.

- Numbers can be tricky things. They are like the go-fast stripes that boy racers put on their clapped out old bangers.
That 500, for example, is some sort of freaky standard that is almost certainly impossible to achieve in practice. (Just sniff around here for explanations of what it really means.)

I ignore numbers until I have a problem. Does your system do what you want? Running your equipment is a better guide than any test software. - The only technologies that will get you near that 240Mbps will be:
