You can't. Netgear, like most makers of powerline kit, does not sell singletons.

Only if you live in a mansion with huge distances between rooms. Most people manage to fill a house without any need for extra wifi sources. Their router/modem does the job.
First see if your router/modem is good enough.
If there are any wifi "not spots", you should be able to fill them with a single powerline access point somewhere in the property, probably where the router's wifi begins to fade.

No. One plug can feed a network of other plugs, you just have to set it up properly.
