Plp 1200 internet speed halved 100mpbs to 50mbps

I had just recently bought a Plp 1200 kit my router is in the same room as my circuit breaker and the two powerline adapters are 15feet away and all green lights. I have talked to support about the speed and they said that powerline would be slower than ethernet, But I wouldn't think the speed would be halved. On the box it says that the coverage is at least 538 feet. Any suggestions?

Circuit breaker? If that sits between two plugs, then it will slow things down. It can even block communications. They need to be on the same circuit.

The performance of Powerline devices depends greatly on local conditions, the quality of your wiring and the presence of electrical devices that can create interference..

How did you measure that? Is it slowing things down? Or are you just looking at speed measurements?

My boxes don't mention distances. But 538 feet is an oddly definitive number. (They usually go for vague things like 500 feet.) It is also a lot longer than anything I would expect. The datasheets talk about areas rather than distances,  500m2. But even there it more likely to be marketing speak than real world expectations.

Sorry, I got busy with something and couldn't respond for a few days. I'll try my best to explain things to the best of my ability.

I meant to say my breaker panel/box when I was talking about the "circuit breaker".  They are not the same breaker/room.  To measure the speed I would plug into different plugs around the house and measure the speed and latency on my laptop.  I tried a plug on the same circuit as the powerline adapter near the router, but still received lackluster performance. Which was about as much as it was in the room I had originally put it in at the start of this post.  I messed up the  typical coverage area specified by netgear which is 500m^2 or around 5382ft^2. I did get it for gaming due to physical reasons for the house as the box said "Now double the speed" and "Ideal for 4k HD video streaming and lag-free gaming" Here is a picture of the box online.

        That's area not distance.

Can you do 4K and "lag-free gaming"?

50 Mbps is more than enough for 4K. Indeed, you should be able to get three or four simultaneous 4K streams at that speed.
