PLP1200 availability as single adapter

Hey folks,

 

As the subject of the post says, I'm looking for a single PLP1200 adapter. I already have two at home and need a third one to reach another room.

 

However, judging from the information available, it seems that the PLP1200 adapter is only sold in pairs, and I'm not too hot on the idea of sinking an extra 50 bucks for a fourth unit I won't need.

 

Can anyone confirm or deny whether the PLP1200 can be purchased as a single adapter, and not a pair?

    NETGEAR powerline adapters are sold as bundled and are not sold individually. If you are going to check resellers, you can see the packaging are in bundled.

      I can't understand the logic behind the business decision to sell them only in pairs, but... So be it. I'm not going to pay 100 for two adapters just to add one of them to my home network and have the other one gathering dust.

        These things are built to a standard. If you can find another single 1200 plug from a different maker that should work. Or something slower if it is somewhere where speed is not essential.
