PLP1200 in two routers.

- No if you use the Netgear powerline utility or genie you can change the default encryption key of 'HomeplugAV' to anything you like. As a simple example you could have 2 units with a key of 'HomeplugAV1' and another two with 'HomeplugAV2' and they would coexist in the same home quite happily, but running independently of each other. To change the keys you will need to be connected by lan cable to each unit. Hope this helps

One more thing I don't know if I'm dong something wrong but I can only put with encryption key two powerlines if I put a third is not detected. Is possible to put more than 2 with a security button for a different configuration than the default factory that comes with each powerline?

Connect the third unit to your pc / laptop by lan cable and change the encryption key yourself to the same one as the first two, using Netgear Genie or Powerline Utility (links below). Once changed all three should see and talk to each other.

Another question. These powerlines could work like extender to boost signal if I connect more powerlines in whole house? I ask because if I connect in rooms close to the router I have amazing speeds for example I have 60 mps and if I go to distant rooms from the router I have 15 mps or less. Then how can I boost the speed in distant rooms? For example on z-wave products for home automation if you connect more devices in whole home they work like extender each one from the other and like a result all together boost the signal in this case is possible do the same with the powerlines? I ask because if it is possible boost the signal in that way I can buy more powerlines or whatever needed.
