PLUG LIGHT
Sorry I have titled this plug light as that is only description I can find. It looks like a house shape out of coil of wire. Please excuse description. I have had unit for about 2 years and it has worked. I use it to extend wifi from hub to second tv box in another room. I noticed the light referred to was on red so looked up videos and decided to reset up. Set back with pin to factory settings. Then plugged both in close together near hub which is virgin super 3 with 200mb on wifi. Both units acquired the necessary lights and I then secured one to the hub. My first unit is cabled by Ethernet to the hub. I unplugged second unit and relocated in plug socket in other room. All lights came on except the one referred to initially was then red on both units. I can still connect my handheld device to the secure savings on my hub and use the internet but I am trying to link my two virgin TVs together and clearly there is something I am not doing right. Please someone out there help?
Sorry I thought I had included the model. I have just found another article telling me red was ok. It serves me right assuming red was not working. It was just a coincidence because the wireless extension has just suddenly awakened without any further action following a day of frustration yesterday. So my issue is now resolved thanks to you.

What is the model number of your device?
It will be on the back of the plug.
The light you are referring to – good description – is the "Pick A Plug LED".
If it is red, that just means "Link rate < 50 Mbps (good)", which means that the network isn't as fast as it could be..
