PLW1000 firmware stuck on 1.0.0.6
I have a PLW1000
It's firmware is 1.0.0.6 according to the config page.
I have tried uploading the firmware 1.0.1.6 and 1.0.1.4 from the support site but the config updater returns "This firmware file is incorrect! Please get the firmware file again and make sure it is the correct firmware for this product."
The same happens if I try the PLW1000v2 firmware (not surprisingly)
If I choose the "check for new version on the internet" it says that there is no version.
What am I doing wrong?

There is no 1.0.0.6 on the Netgear pages for this device.
Firmware Version 1.0.0.18 was the Initial Release.

Indeed! which makes it all the weirder
However, see screenshot
Freaky. Maybe a very early model.
I assume that you are going through the usual process and loaidjg the unpacked firmware file through the browser graphical user interface (GUI). I ask because we see regular interventions here from folks who try to "open" the firmware file and wonder why it doesn't work.

Firmware Version 1.0.0.6 is not available on the official Netgear website for this device. The Initial Release was Firmware Version 1.0.0.18.

Please read this conversation.
Firmware Version 1.0.0.6 is ISP specific.
